Lew and Donna exiting Air Force One at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library

It was one of the greatest thrills of my life to ride in this AT-6 one of Kevin Kegin's American Warbirds, similar to the BT-13 below, for which my dad was a mechanic during WW II.
My dad, Conner W. Gholson, during World War II, at what is now Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo, Texas.
I have been fortunate to be married to my husband Lew for over 32 years. Lew has many interests and willingly shares them with me. He has encouraged me to do many things that I would probably never have done on my own. He taught me to fly airplanes, one of my dreams since childhood. We also spent many wonderful hours in our sea kayaks, did a little sailing and snorkeling, took art classes, and raced cars (he did most of the racing, while I acted as pit crew). I have also enjoyed learning a little about astronomy from him and meeting some wonderful people and interesting astronomers from around the world. His love for astronomy led to buying a small house in Hawaii and moving one of his telescopes over to view the southern sky. We attended many Cook family reunions in Cedar City Utah, home of the Utah Shakespeare Festival. We were active in amateur radio for several years and served with the local sheriff's department as reserve deputies. Never a dull moment!
